Welcomed into the world on Friday night around 9pm, Avery becomes our second neice to have a birthday on the 24th March!

She was 7lb 5oz and both baby and mother are doing well (good job Sheri!). And Brian didn't faint during the birth, which is always a good thing.

We're proud aunty and uncle again - Daniel and Claire are proud new parents.

Ella Lucy Patterson was born earlier this week (I need to confirm with Daniel what day it was in England, as I was on the East Coast, and it was sort of late'ish when he called). She was a very healthy 7lb 12 ozs, and mother and child came back home today.

Deborah, Meaghan and Holly timed their trip back home perfectly, and the rumour is little girls love shopping for little babies - wish I was going to be there to see them all playing together. Still, Heidi and I will be across as soon as we can work something out.

We all went over to Deb and Ron's for Jacob's 7th Birthday party on Wednesday night. Jacob became a fully fledged member of the spy club, with lots of cool gadgets to turn him into James Bond, and has enough books and vouchers to make sure he stays better informed than the enemy.

We also finally got round to exchanging the last of the Christmas gifts, so we ended up staying until after 11 setting up the parents technology stuff. Hopefully it'll all work and they'll enjoy using it now.

Well, not really, but any excuse to put that gorgeous picture up ;-)

It turns out Daniel scored what he claimed to be "Goal of the season" in footie on Monday night. Attempts to confirm it with the local press (well, Matthew), resulted in "it was pretty good I guess...".

In other breaking news, Matthew regained his sanity, free time and smile all with one simple manouver, involving the removal of "girlfriend" status for a former associate. Well done bro!

So I thought I'd get the new site started with a little pic from New Year - we're all wrapped up warm, and it's New Years Day, so I was feeling a little the worse for wear. I still managed a smile though.

As you can see, the new jacket came into good use - now if I can only get someone to call me when I'm wearing it, I can look all Star Trekkie and talk into my hidden microphone...

Up and Running

OK - I finally got around to setting up our real homepage for easier posting of new messages. As some of you may already know, we've been posting a lot of our photos up on Flickr these days, for all the world to see. The link to those photos is here if you want to check it out.

Once I get this all sorted out, Heidi will also have a log in to do her own posts, and I'll make sure I set up some links on the side to directly hit some of the photos that have already been posted on this site, in case you need to see them again.

The "other" blog is still up and running at Aaron's Day Off, so you won't go short for stuff to read (maybe).
